Chief Operating Officer, Chief Product Officer, Co-Founder
As Chief Operating Officer and Chief Product Officer, Josh leads the product, ad operations and data science teams. He is charged with defining, building and optimizing Genesis’ suite of products, setting the organization’s data science strategy and developing the Genesis patent portfolio. Previously, Josh was co-founder and CEO of TVGenesis, which he built into a dominant video ad platform before merging with Beezag in 2011 to become Genesis Media. Josh was also CEO of video marketplace Shopflick.com, as well as co-founder of social publishing platform Woman.ca, which he led as CEO to an acquisition by Transcontinental Media (TCA. to) in 2009. He is also the co-founder of Spamhaus which hosts data scientists, mathematicians, computer scientists, researchers and industry professionals in a round-table dialogue on the industry’s “unsolvable problems”.
Josh is entrepreneur-in-residence at the Laboratory for Entrepreneurship in Data Science (L.E.D.S.) and is a Visiting Academic at Courant Institute of Mathematics at New York University. He has a B.Sc. from McGill University and M.Sc. in Medicine (Epidemiology) from the University of Toronto.
